Well finally this was the day that I have been looking forward to for the past few days. When I had the operation I asked Dr Z if I could remove the bandage on Saturday and he agreed that this would be a good day.
I ran a pretty deep warm bath, and put a generous amount of table salt into the water, which dissolved straight away. I got into the bath expecting to have a little discomfort when my penis hit the water, but it actually was fine and no discomfort at all.
I soaked for about 15 minutes, and then decided that it was time to start on the unveiling and see what was going on underneath! The end of the tape was pretty easy to find and start peeling away. It came away pretty easy and I could now start to see the gauze underneath. In no time at all the tape was off and I was just left with the gauze which I decided to let soak for a further 5 minutes. I was amazed how little blood there was at this point. I had expected it to be caked in blood, but fortunately it wasn’t.
Now it was time to remove the gauze and again it started off easy, but before long got to a point where it was sticking a little, this was just on the area where my frenulum had been. The gauze had stuck to the wound, and after I found a little more courage I peeled it away, and yes this did sting!
Everything was now off so I soaked a little further in the bath to clean everything up. Again there was very little congealed blood or anything. Which could only be down to the fantastic job that Dr Zarifa has done.
Out the bath now, and dried off, there has been a few drips of blood from the frenulum area, but nothing of concern. I took a few photos, straight after the bath just in case it swells up later.
It was funny to look in the mirror at myself, as in that view it looks as if I have always been cut! Looking down on it is looks a bit of a mess, but my partner thinks it looks really good and neat already! The head is looking quite wrinkly, and the skin is slightly starting to harden, so pleased that part is all going to plan.
Right, so I’m going to lounge about for the rest of the day and let plenty of air get to it, and then another bath and part 2 photos later!
