16th March 2009 - Day 7 - 1 Week Post Circ

My 1 week circumcision Anniversary!

Last night was my first night of full uninterrupted sleep! I slept from 12am until 7am with no problems, no ice packs, and no full erections. My tight pants kept me all in place and it was great.
So really pleased that I am now at this point, as pain wise that it the worst part over with.
The dressing that I had in my pants had a little bit of blood on it from where the wound had been pressing against it.

Another salt bath this morning, the skin on the glans is peeling and flaking and once in the bath a little of this skin came away. Also I went hope for lunch, and also gave is a 5 minute soak in a container of warm salted water.

The circ incision line is actually looking not as neat as it has the past few days, as it has blackened a little. On the top of my penis, there is my first sign of the wound gaping slightly. The underside where the frenulum was is still looking a little messy, but this is as I was expecting. On my aftercare leaflet from Dr Z, it does state that my penis will look at its worse on day 8-10, so this seems to be about right for me. No sign of any of the stitches coming out as of yet, but it is hard to tell as I cannot see the incision line clearly due to the puffiness of the inner foreskin which is obscuring things a little.

Today was my first day back at work, (just for 1 day!) and back into a suit, which after a few days naked did make me feel rather over dressed! I wore tight briefs with a dressing against my penis. It was all being held in place, but did feel rather tight. This new sensation did quite frequently throughout the day start an erection, which subsided quickly.

As the day went on it all started to feel a little uncomfortable and restricted, and I could tell that the dressing was sticking to the wound a little. So really looking forward to being at home tonight and then being off work for the next 4 days, as it will be back to hanging it out and airing it out!

I have found in the past day, that I am able to handle my penis a bit more and not treat it so delicately. This is allowing me to look in more detail at what is going on. . I still have not pulled the skin back further though in order to see more under the rim of the glans, as I feel this may put some undue strain on the incision area. It is still swollen on the shaft and the inner foreskin is still rather puffy, although it did not puff as much in the bath today as it had done in previous baths. There does not appear to any bruising now, so amazing how such severe bruising can disappear in just a week!
I have already discovered that the ex frenulum area is going to be a very sensitive spot for me, as it already feels great to touch it. So I best stop touching it there for the time being!
